In ΔPQR, PQ = PR = 18 cm, AB and AC are parallel to lines PR and PQ, respectively. If A is the mid-point of QR, then what is the perimeter (in cm) of quadrilateral ABPC ?

Solution:

PQ = PR = 18 cm
∵ A is the mid-point of QR and AB ∥ PR .

\PB=\PQ/2=18/2=9\cm

Similarly,

\PC=\PR/2=18/2=9\cm

\BA=\PR/2=18/2=9\cm

\AC=\PQ/2=18/2=9\cm

Perim eter of

□ \ABPC= 4 × 9 = 36 \cm
