The largest possible triangle is inscribed in a semicircle of radius 7 cm. Find the area inside the semicircle that is not occupied by the triangle.

Solution:

Area of semicircle

=22/7×{7×7}/2=77

Area of triangle

=1/2×14×7=49

Required area

= 77 - 49 = 28
