Area of the base of conical tent
= 346.5 sq. metre
∴ $\mathit{\pi }{\mathit{r}}^2$ = 346.5
⇒ $\frac{22}{7}$ × ${\mathit{r}}^2$ = 346.5
⇒ ${\mathit{r}}^2$ = $\frac{346.5\times 7}{22}$ = 110.25
⇒ r = $\sqrt{110.25}$
= 10.5 metre
∴ Slant height = $\sqrt{{\mathit{h}}^2+{\mathit{r}}^2}$
= $\sqrt{{\left(14\right)}^2+{\left(10.5\right)}^2}$
= $\sqrt{196+110.25}$
= $\sqrt{306.25}$
= 17.5 metre
∴ Area of curved surface of thetent = πrl
= $\frac{22}{7}$ × 10.5 × 17.5
= 577.5 sq. metre
∴ Length of canvas
= $\frac{577.5}{\frac{75}{10}}$ = $\frac{577.5\times 100}{75}$
= $\frac{577750}{75}$ = 770 metre
