In 729 ml of mixture, Milk =

× 729 = 567 ml
Water =

2/9

× 729 = 162 ml.
Let x ml of water be mixed.
∴

{567}/{162+x}

⇒ 162 × 7 + 7x = 567 × 3
⇒ 1134 + 7x = 1701
⇒ 7x = 1701 – 1134 = 567
⇒ x =

{567}/7

= 81 ml
