Solution:

Let the principal = ₹P
⇒

{P× R× 5}/100+P=3P⇒{5R}/100=2

∴

R=40%

Let sum of money will be five times in t years.
⇒

{P× 40× t}/100+P=5P

⇒

{2t}/5+1=5⇒{2t}/5=4

∴ t = 10 years
