Solution:

for divisibility by 8,

8 y 2 \÷8

y=3

or 7
when

y=3

For divisibility by 11

18-(12+x)=0

or 11

x=6

or when

y=7

1330 \x55872

18-(16+x)=0

or 11

x=2

So,

x+y=6+3=2+7=9
