Let the sum invested = ₹ P
According to the question.

P[(1+12/100)^2-1]= 10176

⇒

P[(28/25)^2-1]= 10176

⇒

P[{784 -625}/625]= 10176

⇒

P[159]= 10176×625

∴

P={10176×625}/159=64×625

=\₹40000
