The Brahmaputra River is known by several names in the four countries (China, India, Bhutan and Bangladesh) that it flows through. With its origin in the Angsi glacier, located on the northern side of the Himalayas in Burang County of Tibet, the upper stream of Brahmaputra in Tibet is called Yarlung Tsangpo.
