⇒ ${\left({\mathit{x}}^2+\frac{1}{{\mathit{x}}^2}\right)}^2$ - 2 = 119
⇒ ${\left({\mathit{x}}^2+\frac{1}{{\mathit{x}}^2}\right)}^2$ = 119 + 2 = 121
⇒ ${\left({\mathit{x}}^2+\frac{1}{{\mathit{x}}^2}\right)}^2$ = ${11}^2$
⇒ ${\mathit{x}}^2+\frac{1}{{\mathit{x}}^2}$ = 11
⇒ ${\left(\mathit{x}-\frac{1}{\mathit{x}}\right)}^2$ + 2 = 11
⇒ ${\left(\mathit{x}-\frac{1}{\mathit{x}}\right)}^2$ = 11 - 2 = 9 = $3^2$
⇒ x - $\frac{1}{\mathit{x}}$ = 3
On cubing both sides,
${\left(\mathit{x}-\frac{1}{\mathit{x}}\right)}^3$ = $3^3$
⇒ ${\mathit{x}}^3-\frac{1}{{\mathit{x}}^3}$ - 3x . $\frac{1}{\mathit{x}}\left(\mathit{x}-\frac{1}{\mathit{x}}\right)$ = 27
⇒ ${\mathit{x}}^3-\frac{1}{{\mathit{x}}^3}$ - 3 × 3 = 27
⇒ ${\mathit{x}}^3-\frac{1}{{\mathit{x}}^3}$ = 27 + 9 = 36
