Solution:

Given, perimeter of square

=

Circumference of circle

⇒ \;\; 4 a=2 π r

⇒ \;\; 4 a=2 × \;{22}/{7} × 7 \;\; [ ∵ r=7 {cm}]

⇒ \;\; {a}=11 {cm}

Now, area of circle

=π r^{2}

And area of square

=a^{2}

∴

Area of circle : Area of square

=π r^{2}: a^{2}

=\;{22}/{7} × 7 × 7: 11^{2}

=14: 11
