Solution:

Total weight of student in Section A

=40 × 45.5=1820 {kg}

Total weight of students in Section B

=40 × 442=1768 {kg}

Weight of two students of Section A shifted to

B=48.75 × 2=97.50 {kg}

Now, students weight in

A=1820-97.50=1722.5 {kg}

and student weight in Section B

=1768+97.50 ⇒ 1865.5 {kg}

According to the question,

1865.5-2 x=1722.5+2 x

⇒ \;\; 4 x=1865.5-1722.5

⇒ \;\; 4 x=143

⇒ \;\; x=35.75

So, the average weight of student shifted to
