The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) appointed Keshav R. Kranthi as its chief scientist. He was a former director of Central Institute for Cotton Research (CICR) in Nagpur. The International Cotton Advisory Committee is an association of governments of cotton producing, consuming and trading countries which acts as the international commodity body for cotton and cotton textiles.
