. If he does not give any discount, then what will be his profit percent? (correct to 2 decimal places)

Solution:

Suppose MP of item

=₹ 100

=10 \%

{SP}=100 × \;{90}/{100}=₹ 90

According to the question,

120 \% \;\text " of "\; {CP} \;\; = {SP}

⇒ \;\; \;{120}/{100} × {CP} \;\; =90

{CP} \;\; =₹ 75

If discount is not given then selling price will be

₹ 100

∴ \;\text " Profit percent "\; \;\; =\;{ {SP}- {CP}}/{ {CP}} × 100

\;\; =\;{100-75}/{75} × 100

\;\; =\;{25}/{75} × 100

Profit percent

=33.33 \%
