Gujarat government has announced for the formation of 'Mukhyamantri Bagayat Vikas Mission'. It aims to accelerate agriculture, horticulture and promote farming of herbal plants. It also aims to double the income of the farmers involved in horticulture and medicinal farming. Under the scheme, unproductive lands will be allotted to farmers, organisations, individuals, or partnership firms for cultivation.
