Given,

⇒ \;\; \;{x^{2}+y^{2}}/{x y}=\;{2}/{1}

Now, The value of

x^{2}+y^{2}=2, x y=1

We know that

⇒\;(x-y)^{2}=x^{2}+y^{2}-2 x y

⇒\;(x-y)^{2}=2-2 × 1

⇒\;(x-y)^{2}=0

∴ \;(x-y)=0
