Sarnath is one of the Buddhist site located in Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) where Gautama Buddha gave his first sermon after enlightenment, setting the wheel of the dharma (truth) in motion. The four noble truths include the truth of suffering (Dukkha), the truth of the origin of suffering (Samudaya), the truth of the cessation of suffering (Nirodha) and the truth of the path to the cessation of suffering (Marga).
