The problem of choice between relatively scarce commodities due to limited productive resources with the society can be illustrated with the help of a Production Possibility Curve (PPC). The PPC refers to a curve that shows various alternative combinations of two goods that can be produced with efficient utilisation of the given resources and technology. It is also called Production Possibility Frontier (PPF).
