Divisibility of $9\Rightarrow$ If sum of digit is divisible by 9 so the number will be divisible by 9 .

$\Rightarrow 44+\mathit{x}\Rightarrow$ If we put $\mathit{x}=1$ So, 45 will be divisible by $9.$
Put value of $\mathit{x}=1$ and $\mathit{y}=8$ in $\left(7\mathit{x}+2\mathit{y}\right)$
$\therefore \left(7\mathit{x}+2\mathit{y}\right)=\left(7\times 1+2\times 8\right)$
