more than number of red balls and the number of green balls is

less than number of white balls. If total number of balls is 120 , then how many green balls are there?

Solution:

Let red ball are

10 x

Then, White ball

=10 x × \;{160}/{100}=16 x

Green ball

=\;{16 x × 87.5}/{100}=14 x

According to the question,

\;\;\; 10 x+16 x+14 x=120

⇒ \;\; 40 x=120 ⇒ x=3

∴ \;\text " Total number of green ball "\;=14 x

\;\;\; =14 × 3=42
