Solution:

Let the fraction be =

x/y

According to the question,

4×{x}/{y}+6 ×{y}/{x}=11

⇒

4 x^{2}+6 y^{2}=11 x y

⇒

4 x^{2}-11 x y+6 y^{2}=0

⇒

4 x^{2}-8 x y-3 x y+6 y^{2}=0

⇒

4 x(x-2 y)

-3 y(x-2 y)=0

⇒

(x-2 y)(4 x-3 y)=0

∴

x/y=2/1,3/4

Hence, required fraction =

3/4
