Area of 4 walls of a cuboid is 448 sq cm, its length is 18 cm and height is 8 cm.What is its breadth (in cm) ?

Solution:

Let the breadth of the cuboid = b cm
According to the question.
Area of four walls of cuboid

=2(l+b) ×h

⇒

448=2(18+b)× 8

⇒

18+b= {448}/{16} \⇒ 18+b=28

∴

b=28-18=10 {\cm}
