Solution:

Let the discount percentage = x%
According to the question,

1280 ×{(100-x)}/{100}=900

⇒

12800-128 x=9000

⇒

128 x=12800-9000

⇒

128 x=3800

∴

x= {3800}/{128}=29.68 \%
