years. In how many years will the sum ₹ 800 amounts to ₹ 1040 at the same rate ?

Solution:

Let the rate of interest be r %.
According to the question,

{720 × r × 3}/{100×2}= 8 82-720

⇒

{54r}/5=162 ∴ r = 15%

Again,

{8 0 0 ×15 × t}/100=1040 - 800

⇒

120t =240

∴

t = 2

years
