(a) Muhammad Ali khan, the Nawab of Arcot commissioned two to paint oil paintings and portraits. The painters were Tilly Kettle and George Willison. Tilly Kettle, was the first significant British portrait painter to work in India. George Willison travelled to India and became the official painter of the Mohamed Ali Khan Walejah.
