respectively. If the length of one train is

and that of the other train is

, then find the time taken by the trains to cross each other.

Solution:

(b) Relative speed of the train

=(25+30)\m /

\sec

and, distance

=(300+250)\m=550\m

The time taken by the train to cross each other

={550\m}/{55\m/\s} [∵ \Time=\Distance/\Speed]

=10 \sec
