=x/40

Time taken by B

=x/50

hrs.
Now,

{x}/{40}- {x}/{50}= {15}/{60}

{5 x-4 x}/{200}= {15}/{60}

∴

{x}= {15}/{60} ×200=50 {km}

= {\text " Product of speeds "}/{\text " Diff. of speeds "} × \text "Diff. in time"

= {40 × 50}/{50-40} ×{15}/{60}=50 {km}
