Solution:

(3) Time taken by A to complete the work

= {4 × 3}/{2}=6

days
Time taken by B to complete the work

= {6 × 5}/{3}=10

days
∴ (A + B)’s 1 day’s work

=1/6+1/10={5+3}/30

=8/30=4/15

∴ A and B together will complete the work in

{15}/{4}=3 {3}/{4}

days.
