A sector is formed by opening out a cone of base radius 8 cm and height 6 cm. Then the radius of the sector is (in cm)

Solution:

(3) Height (h) = 6 cm and base radius (r) = 8 cm,
then radius of sector will be the slant height of the cone.
Slant height

=√{h^{2}+r^{2}}=√{6^{2}+8^{2}}

=√{36+64}=10 {cm}
