(1) The land breeze is a coastal breeze at night blowing from the land to the ocean. It is caused by the difference in the rates of cooling of the land and of the ocean. It reduces temperature on land in night time.
The sea breeze has the same moderating influence during the daytime. So,in the course of a day, there are both land and sea breezes.
