(3) Democracy is government of the people by the people and for the people. Its principle of political equality enhances the dignity of a citizen. Democracies resolve conflict in a better way due to popular participation in it. In a Democracy conflicts are no solved by brutal force but by peaceful solutions. However, democracies are not necessarily more prosperous than other government systems. We have examples of monarchies such as Saudi Arabia and single-party rule such as China being better off than democracies in Africa, Asia or South America.
