Solution:

22/7×42=132

Let the length of rectangle = 6x and breadth = 5x cm
∴ 2 (6x + 5x) = 132
⇒ 22x = 132 ⇒ x =

132/22=6

∴ Length of rectangle = 36 cm and breadth = 30 cm
∴ Area of rectangle = 36 × 30 = 1080 cm
