Three pipes M, N and Q are connected to a tank. M and N together can fill the tank in 10 hours, N and Q together in 15 hours and Q and M together in 12 hrs. In how much time will pipe fill the tank together (in hours) ?

(M + N) 's hour work

=\;{1}/{10}

(N + Q) 's 1 hour work

=\;{1}/{15}

(Q + M) 's 1 hour work

=\;{1}/{12}

∴(M+N+Q)

's 1 hour work

={1}/{2[{1}/{10}+{1}/{15}+{1}/{12}]}={1}/{2}[{6+4+5}/{60}]={1}/{8}

∴ (M+N+Q)

can do the required work in 8 hours.
