x^2 + 4x + k^2 = 0

is 8.

Solution:

The given quadratic equation is,

x^{2}-4 x+k^{2}=0

Sum of roots is equal to

\;{-b}/{a}

and product of roots is

\;{c}/{a}

\;{c}/{a}=8

\;{k^{2}}/{1}=8

k^{2}=8

k=± 2 √{2}

Therefore, the value of 'K is

± 2 √{2}
