2 days work by given no. of persons

={4 × 2}/{6 × 12}+{12 × 2}/{8×18}+{20 × 2}/{18 × 10}

={1}/{2}

Remaining work

=1-\;{1}/{2}=\;{1}/{2}

∴ Required number of men

=\;{1}/{2} × 72

=36
