Solution:

(2) ∴ p : q = 7 : 9
q : r = 15 : 7
∴

p/q=7/9

∴

q/r=15/7

...(ii)
Now multiplying equation (i)and (ii),

p/q×q/r = 7/9×15/7⇒p/r=5/3

∴ p : r = 5 : 3
