Ravi starts travelling with his car at a constant speed of 54 km/hour. He stops for 5 minutes after each 36 km. What time will he take to cover 432 km?

Solution:

(3) Ravi takes

60/54×36+5=45

minutes to travel each 36 km distance.
Since 432 = 36 × 12
Therefore, he will stop for 5 minutes 11 times.
Time taken to cover 432 km = (45× 11 + 40) minutes = 8 hours 55 minutes
