A train 350 m long takes 36 s to cross a man running at a speed of 5 km/h in the direction opposite to that of train. What is the speed of the train?

Solution:

(1) Putting the given values in the speed, distance and time formula,we get

t = {L_{train}}/{S_{train}+S_{ man}}

36/{60× 60 }=350/ 1000/{S_{train}+5}S_{train}

= 30 km/h
