5 + 3 × 8 – 12 ÷4 =3

Solution:

(d) On interchanging – and ÷,
We get the equation as

5 + 3 × 8 ÷12 – 4 = 3

5 + 3 × 2/3 – 4 = 3

or 3 = 3, which is true
