The HCF and LCM of two numbers are 44 and 264 respectively. If the first number is devided by 2, the quotient is 44. What is the other number?

Solution:

(d) The first number = 2 × 44 = 88
∴ The second number

= {HCF ×LCM}/88

= {44× 264}/88= 132
