The ratio of the length and the breadth of a rectangle is 4 : 3 and the area of the rectangle is 1728 sq cm. What is the ratio of the breadth and the area of the rectangle ?

Validate

Solution:

(d) (4x) (3x) = 1728

⇒ x^2 = 144 ∴ x = 12

⇒ length = 48; breadth = 36

∴ Required ratio = 36/{36× 48}= 1 : 48
