Solution:

Let weight of a piece of diamond is 6y.
Let original pr ice of one piece = ₹x
So

x(6y)^2 = 5184

New price

= x(y^2 + 4y^2 + 9y^2)

= 14 xy^2 ={14 ×5184}/36= ₹2016

Loss

= 5184 – 2016 = ₹3168
