Solution:

∠ PQO ={∠ PQR}/2=120°/2= 60°

From

△ P O Q

∠OPQ = 180° – 90° – 60° = 30°

sin ∠OPQ ={DQ}/{PQ}

OQ = PQ sin 30° =6[1/2]=3

∴QS = 2(OS) [OS = OQ]= 2 × 3 = 6 cm
