Mr. Rajesh is twice as good a worker as Mr. Vishal and together they finish a piece of work in 28 days. In how many days will Vishal alone finish the work?

Solution:

(d) Mr. Rajesh can do in x days.
Vishal can do in 2x days.
According to question,

⇒1/x+ 1/ = {2x} =1/28

⇒ {2 +1}/{2x}= 1/28⇒ 3/{2x}= 1/28

∴x= {28 ×3}/2 =42

days
∴Vishal can finish in 2x = 2 × 42
