(3) In 2002, Humpy Koneru became the youngest woman ever to achieve the title of Grandmaster at the age of 15 years, 1 month, 27days, beating Judit Polgár's previous mark by three months.She was the youngest Indian to achieve this feat. This record was subsequently broken by Hou Yifan from China in 2008 on the world level.
