Inserting values using options;
(i) (4, 1) = 3 × 4 − 4×1=1 −4=8
(ii) (8, 4) = 3 × 8 −4×4=24 −16 =8
(iii) (1, 4) = 3 ×1 −4×4=3 −16= −13
(iv) (0, −2) = 3 ×0 −4 × −2 = 8
Hence, (1, 4) is not a solution of the equation 3x − 4y = 8.
