Solution:

(4) Ratio of speeds of Ist & II nd train
=

=3:4
Given, II nd train runs 300 km in 3hours

{ S } _ { 2 } = { { D } }/ { { T } } = { 300 }/{ 3 } = 100 {km} / h

∵ { S } _ { 1 : { S } _ { 2 } } = 3 : 4

⇒ { S } _ { 1 } : 100 = 3 : 4

⇒ { \ { S } _ { 1 } } / { 100 } = { 3 }/{ 4 }⇒ { S } _ { 1 } = 75

km / h
