An economist by profession, he worked for theInternational Monetary Fund (IMF)and the Central Bank of WestAfrican, BCEAO, and was the PrimeMinister of Côte d'Ivoire fromNovember 1990 to December1993, appointed to that post byPresident Félix Houphouët-Boigny.
