Solution:

(1) Quantity of milk in the originalmixture =

74/100

× 150 = 111 liters
Let the amount of milk added be Kliters. So,

{111+{K}}/{150+{K}} × 100=90

⇒{K}-0.9 {K}=150 × 0.9-111

⇒{K}=240
