Read the following statements and select the option which is NOT true based on the statements:

The cost of six mangoes is equal to the cost of four apples.

The cost of eight apples is equal to the cost of two jackfruits.

A mango is not as costly as an apple.
An apple is cheaper than a jackfruit.
Jackfruit is the costliest of all.
An apple is not as costly as a mango.

(4) According to the givenstatement, let M, A and J be thecosts of a mango, apple andjackfruit respectively.
According to the given statement,
6 × M = 4 × A ......(i)
and, 8 × A = 2 × J .......(ii)
From equations (i) and (ii),
6M = 4A = J

∴ Ratio M : A : J = 4 : 6 : 24
