Solution:

(1)S.I. = ₹ 4000, T = 2 years, R = 10%and P = ?

P = \ { 4000 \× 100 } /{ 2 \× 10 }

(SI×100)/(R×T)

}
⇒P = ₹ 20000
Now if P = ₹ 20000 , T = 2 years, R= 10%

\ { CI } = 20000 \[ \( 1 + \ { 10 } /{ 100 } \) ^ { 2 } - 1 ]

∵CI=

P \[ \( 1 \ { R } /{ 100 } \) ^ { 2 } - 1 \]

\⇒ 20000 \[ \( \ { 121 }/ { 100 } \) - 1 \]

⇒2000×

=4200
Increase in Amount = 4200 – 4000= 200
